What goes into one of our engine rebuilds
A rebuild is not a patch and it is not a guess. The engine comes out, comes apart completely and every component is cleaned, measured and inspected. Anything worn beyond tolerance is replaced with OEM parts. Anything machinable is machined in our own shop. The result is an engine that meets the same specification it had the day the vehicle was built.
The difference between a rebuild that lasts and one that fails again is rarely the parts. It is the diagnosis. If a wet belt failed because the oil was never changed, we tell you. If a turbo failed because the oil feed was blocked, we clean or replace the feed. Fixing the damage without fixing the cause is how engines come back, and ours do not come back.

Rebuild or used engine?
A used engine is a lottery ticket. You cannot see inside it, you cannot know how it was treated and you will pay the fitting labour twice if it turns out to be faulty. A rebuild of your own engine costs a little more up front and a lot less in the long run, because you end up with a documented, test certified engine with a transferable 12 month warranty rather than a stranger’s problems. The process
How your engine gets rebuilt
Tell us what happened
Call or send the form and describe the symptoms. A rattle, smoke, a warning light or a complete failure. We will ask a few questions about the vehicle and give you an honest first view over the phone.
We collect the vehicle
Our collection service picks the vehicle up directly from your home, your workplace or your garage, anywhere in the UK. Non runners are no problem. Recovery to one of our workshops is all part of the service.
Strip down and video inspection
We dismantle the engine and record a video inspection of every component. You see exactly what failed and why before you spend a penny on parts. Then you approve a fixed written quote.
Rebuild with OEM parts
Our engineers rebuild the engine with OEM parts and photograph every stage. The photographic rebuild report becomes your record of the work and supports your warranty and the vehicle’s resale value.
Test certified and returned
Every rebuild is test certified before the engine leaves the workshop. We return the vehicle to your door with the report, the certification and a 12 month warranty that transfers to the next keeper.

Every rebuild we complete is documented from the first bolt to the final test. You receive a photographic rebuild report showing the worn parts, the new OEM components and the finished engine. You also receive the video inspection of the dismantled engine, so you know exactly what failed and what was done about it.
The finished engine is test certified before it leaves the workshop, and the work carries a 12 month warranty. That warranty is transferable. If you sell the vehicle, the new keeper keeps the cover, which makes your car or van worth more and easier to sell.
